SunTech Medical Announces Pediatric ABPM Interpretation in Latest AccuWin Pro v3 Release

July 13, 2010 — Morrisville, NC – SunTech Medical, manufacturer of the Oscar 2® 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitor (ABPM), announces the latest release of the system’s AccuWin Pro v3 software which will include Pediatric ABPM Interpretation as a primary new feature.  Among the numerous improvements, the new Pediatric ABPM Interpretation function automatically generates guidelines specific to analyzing the 24-hour blood pressure data of pediatric patients.

AccuWin Pro v3 will now provide clinicians with auto-generated hypertension levels for 24-hour BP averages and will calculate BP load based upon a pediatric patient’s height and gender. The data behind the automated calculation is derived from the latest Scientific Statement on Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring in Children and Adolescents from the American Heart Association (AHA) authored by Dr. Elaine Urbina, Dr. Bruce Alpert and colleagues1.

“As a global leader in blood pressure measurement technology, SunTech Medical continuously monitors research community findings to deliver innovative solutions that solve customer problems.” explains Kenneth Andersen, Director of Marketing for SunTech Medical. “By providing tools to assist with the analysis and assessment of pediatric ABPM data, we are able to help clinicians make the correct diagnosis in a more efficient and effective manner.”

In addition to the new pediatric analysis tools, AccuWin Pro v3 has expanded the international language offerings to include support for Chinese (Mandarin). This latest version of AccuWin Pro v3 is now available as a free upgrade to all existing customers. Please click here for more information.

AccuWin Pro v3 is included with SunTech’s Oscar 2 ambulatory blood pressure monitoring system to provide flexible programming, rapid data analysis and customizable reports of ABPM data studies. The Oscar 2 is the only ABPM system available that is clinically validated to the BHS (A/A), ESH and AAMI-SP10 protocols for clinical accuracy.
